This article teaches how to share internet data with family and friends on the MTN network.
MTN mobile network operates in many countries. Its head office is in Johannesburg. As of far back 2016, MTN has already recorded 235 million subscribers across its operations.
Although MTN operates in over 20 countries, one-third of its revenues come from Nigeria, where it holds about 35% market share.
Data sharing it a thumbs up to those on MTN and other Telecom networks that have a similar package.
Sharing is caring – with data sharing and data transfer features, all MTN users can easily show real love to one another by sharing their data with them.
The MTN data sharing is straightforward to execute, you can share data either by using the required USSD code or by sending SMS.
Before you can share or send data – you must know the required code, the mobile number you are sharing with (number must be MTN), you should also have more than the data amount you want to send.
How To Share Data On MTN
Sharing data on MTN is very easy; follow the steps below.
- Dial *321#
- select Gift Data
- Next, select Transfer from Data Balance
- Enter the mobile number of the recipient.
- Choose the amount of data to transfer from your balance.
- Press OK.
After the steps, the data sum will be deducted from your data balance. Do note that, you can not transfer data more than your data balance, and if your data dan’t have a data bundle, the process won’t be successful.
Before you can share data on MTN, your minimum monthly Plan should be at least 250 MB, to make you eligible. A lesser amount of MB (data) will not allow you to share data.
How to buy data bundle for friends on MTN
Before you can do this, first of all, you must be an MTN subscriber, and it must be done from only an MTN line or third-party platform such as a bank app.
- Dial *321#
- Select Gift Data
- Next, select Buy for a friend
- Select the type of package you want to purchase
- Enter the recipient’s MTN number
- Press OK.
